Thurston the Turtle

Thurston loves to knit rugs. He’ll spend hours working on a beautiful rug and then just give it away to whoever is his most favorite that day. He doesn’t talk much, but he doesn’t have to for you to understand how special he is or how much love this little turtle has to give. Thurston wants to be a truck driver when he grows up because he likes being up high and going long distances fast. Thurston prefers meatballs minus the spaghetti for most meals, but will settle for cold pizza if he has to. Thurston is Capricorn.

Nora the Turtle

Nora cared for her sick grandfather until he passed before coming to the orphanage. She loves fair tales about dragons. Her favorite stories are found in the Tales of the Arabian Nights. There is one about a King that finds a pool full of fish of all different colors-that one is her favorite. Nora likes to burrow in the dirt and play hide and seek with her best friend Mole. Nora wishes to some day be a prospector and live like the Arabian kings. NOra’s favorite foods are blue corn chips. Nora is a Aries.

She and her little niece are very close and spend a lot of time together making crafts and playing make believe games that Sana invents. Pickle the Turtle

Pickle was named pickle after coming to the orphanage because he was always getting into pickles. He just has a difficult time paying attention to where he’s going when he’s always rock-hunting. This has often led to run-ins with predators, gettung half-lodged in spaces too small for him, or accidentally walking in on situations where he doesn’t belong. He is well-intentioned. The rocks he collects he is using to build a mosaic mural on the outside wall of the orphanage and dedicate it to Mama Owl for taking them all in. Pickle wants to one day be a nurse. He prefers loaded baked potatoes for nearly every meal. Pickle is an Aries.

Libby the Turtle

Libby has always loves the color pink. She loves that she has pink eyes and will often stare at herself in the mirror drawing quick watercolor sketches of the sun in her eyes by the nearby pool. She can usually be found by the pool anyway. If she’s not painting a watercolor sketch of her pink eyes, she’s diving for unique specimens and pinning them to her “specimen board” for later study. Libby aspires to be either a botanist or a biologist, but she hasn’t decided which yet. Maybe she needs some friendly advice.
